Can someone find me a picture of a 1 carat princess cut diamond with a very thin yellow gold band? I'm searching for one. Please help me find a picture of this: 1 carat princess cut diamond with a very thin yellow gold band. Thank you very much! A ring... that is :) "Lorenzo" Thank you but that's not a princess cut. A princess cut is a square diamond. Plus, I'd like to find a picture of a solitare diamond. I appreciate the effort though! :) "cornelius" I did on "google images", but it didn't produce the results that I wanted. So now, I have to search each page one-by-one. I just wanted to know if I could get some help, that's all. I'm looking too. "Mizzy" Beautiful! Thank you so much! "carlosp" Also a good picture. Thank you! "Wondering" That's exactly the band-type that I want. Thank you!
Is a princess cut diamond supposed to be the same on all four sides? My fiance's engagement ring a 2 carat princess cut set in a simple 4 prong ring. When you look at the 4 sides of the diamond in the ring - 2 sides are different then the other two. Is this normal? the diamond is a perfect square top and that is why it was so expensive. But the actual sides when looking at the diamond are not cut with the same design. two sides are flat and the other two are cut into a "V"
How large is a 0.75 carat princess cut diamond? I am trying to buy a diamond engagement ring online but I have no visual as to how big the centre diamond is. I can't decide if I should upgrade to a 1ct centre, or if 0.75 is big enough. So my question is how big, in mm or inches, is the average diameter of a 0.75 carat PRINCESS cut diamond (I realize there is some variation). I just want a general idea. If you know how much bigger a 1 carat is too that would be great! Thanks
Is there a way to turn a Round cut Diamond into a Princess Cut?? My mom wants to give me the diamond from her enagement ring which is a VERY nice diamond, but the only thing is it is a Round cut diamond. I had always wanted a princess cut diamond. Can a round diamond be re-cut to princess diamond? I received a princess cut engagement ring. My mother wants to give me the diamonds from her wedding band to put in my wedding band and my fiance's wedding band. I would like all the stones to be the same shape - princess. Is this possible?
How much would it be to replace a 1/3 princess cut diamond in engagement ring? The jeweler from which it came from told me it would be my responsibility to cover the cost. However, I have been reading some bad stories of how this specific jeweler does terrible repair work & often uses cheap diamonds. Therefore, i'm looking to take it somewhere who charges a reasonable price but also does a good job. Any suggestions and price estimations?
How big is a 0.5 princess cut diamond...? How big is a 0.5 princess cut diamond compared to some other object? i.e. a penny, dime, etc. I'm having a hard time finding the actual size of the diamond on the internet. They all look way bigger than it actually should.
round or princess cut diamond earrings? I'm going to be buying some 14k white gold "cubic zirconia" studs for my second ear hole. (I keep losing them hence why I can't buy real diamond yet) :) Which looks better in the 2nd ear hole? Round or Princess Cut? I've had both in the past but I can't decide. I have a setting with a 1.60 round diamond right now. Can I change it to a 1 ct princess cut? I have a ring with a 1.60 ct blue diamond in a setting. I want to take out the blue diamond and replace it with a 1 ct princess diamond. I really like princess but, but I don't know if I would be able to put a princess cut diamond in the setting with it already having a round diamond in it. I didn't know if they just change the heads or how that works. I am buying the diamond online, or I would have just asked the jewelry store. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Round vs. princess-cut diamond? Of a round diamond and a princess-cut diamond of the same carat weight: 1) Which one is more sparkly? 2) Which one looks bigger? 3) Which one costs less? Also, since a princess-cut diamond has 4 sharp corners, would it be easily broken if you accidentally banged your hand against a hard surface?

Is a princess cut diamond with a table width of 83% a bad buy? I found a princess cut diamond with a Color Grade E Clarity VVS2 Dimensions 6.66 - 6.59 x 4.74 mm Total depth 71.9% Crown Height 5% Table Width 83% Girdle Medium, polished What I don't understand is the table width of 83%. That is way off the charts for a princess cut. The depth of 71.9% is good but the width is off. So does this mean the cut is poor and it will not shine. The depth is the right % but that width % is bothering me. What does it mean to have a width of 83%? 50% to 76% is the accetable table width for a princess cut.
Princess Cut Diamond-Not Perfectly Square, Normal? Hi everyone...I am currently building my girlfriend's engagement ring and need help! I am going with a reputable woman who has been in the business for 26 years and is a family friend. I am getting a Princess cut diamond, but Amorique style (maybe they're actually different, but the only difference is the Amorique having slightly rounded edges and I'm no jeweller!). I saw the stone the other day which is beautiful, but I am slightly concerned in that it is not perfectly square. I asked her about this and she replied that I will not notice once its set on the band and that it is a gorgeous stone. I trust her as she is a family friend and is a trust worthy person (I think :)). I don't have the exact ratio off hand, but it is slightly noticeable to the eye that it is not perfectly square; is this normal? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

I am buying a solitaire engagement ring with a princess cut diamond. What should I look for in a diamond? The setting she wants is white gold with no diamonds on the band. Since this is a solitaire my focus is on carat, cut, color, and clarity in that order. I'm thinking I will cut costs because I am sacrificing clarity and color, but the cut must at least be very good. What carat size should I go for? Am I right by sacrificing clarity and color for cut and carat. If I'm looking to spend 2.5 - 4k on the diamond alone what can I expect to get? I don't want to be ripped off and I want to get the biggest diamond I can find within my budget without sacrificing too much quality. Would a radiant shaped diamond allow me to get a bigger carat but still look very similar to a princess shape? Thanks. Yea I can get her a fat diamond (carat) but then it would be yellow and flawed.
Diamond - princess vs brilliant cut? Anyone have any views as to which diamond is better for an engagement ring? One jeweller told me that the princess cut gets dirty easier and so loses its sparkle quicker. Has anyne experienced this? Some also told me the brilliant cut is more expensive than the princess cut (for the same colour, size etc) although another jeweller said that was not true. Any ideas on this? PS. the ring is for me - I can't decide what to get!
does anyone have an asscher cut diamond and get frustrated that people think it's merely a princess cut? My diamond is special and for people to think I have a plain jane common ol' princess cut is frustrating to me. They say "Oh, what a pretty princess cut" and then I feel like a dumbhead when I have to explain to them what an asscher cut is. I've been married for a year. This is not my priority in life but I think that when someone has something nice that it is rude for others to insult it. The question was did this happen to anyone else not, "how do I deal with it when these people say this" How is asking a simple question about people's ignorance bragging? This is a real frustration that I have and I'm trying to see if anyone has this same frustration. And why should I feel bad that I have nice things? why are you people being so rude and just out and out hateful? And for the ignorant person who stated that the stone is what determines value-you are somewhat mistaken. Many things, including cut, clarity, carat size, and color determine the value of a stone. I hope no one is ever as hateful to you as you people have been to me. vvsi,2.86, F and bubbles is mistaken. I've voted for 2 of her answers as best answers today and I said nothing nasty to her. We were talking about the flylady system and she said she was too busy for it and I pointed out that weekends would be better if not spent on cleaning. I didn't mean anything by it.
Is a .82 carat princess Cut J IF GIA diamond good? I have been looking all over for the right engagement ring and finally found one in mu budget that I think it big and of great quality, can you give me feedback on this? Princess Cut .82 Carat J Color IF clarity GIA certified I got a price of $2600 I looked at it for an hour under the magnifyer and naked eye and it really did look good to me. Please give me your opinions It is A diamond broker and my father knows him so for the most part I trust him.... Not a fancy store but you can get the most for your money.... as far as size goes I think that a .82 looked plenty big..I would rather have a clear stone than a large low quality stone. As for one of the answers on the J color, I am mounting it in a thin tiffany style white gold band, do you think this will turn out OK? if this is my price range is this the way to go?
Diamond question... princess cut? So, the two most current popular cuts are princess and round, and then there is a cushion cut that is rising in popularity. I'm getting my setting made. After talking with the jeweler, we decided on a princess cut; that's what looks best with my design. Heres the Question: the diamond needs to be perfectly square, (or d@mn there close). After he secured the rock, we learned that a square diamond is a rarity, part of its value. Is a square cut still a princess cut?
what is the prettiest diamond cut? princess cut diamonds are popular right now...but which one has the most sparkle? as for shape, i like round cut, pear, and marquis shape...
