Diamond Solitaire Ring

Mens Diamond Platinum Ring? I just got engaged & I need help finding a mens diamond platinum ring. I want it have at least 1 Carat (princess cut preferably), and I want the price to be under $2000. The best deals I have found have been online, but I am a little skeptical. Has anyone bought a wedding band online? Also I live in the Houston, TX area so if anyone has a jewler they can refer me to that would be great.

What do you think of mens dress rings? Okay, my M&D suggested out of nowhere a few months ago I should get a dress ring. We attend alot of formal events and stuff requiring formal attire, and coincidentally I thought I might too. I was just wondering though, do you think it's okay for a straight teenager to wear a dress ring? I'm not sure if many do or not. And if so, what type (as in, what metal: silver, gold, platinum, titanium, etc)? I don't want one with a rock, just pure metal(s). And what do chicks think of guys that wear dress rings? Do they find it hot? Oh, and how much do they cost usually?

Can a diamond break when in a ring? I have a ring in a 24k platinum setting (mens) and it contains eight diamonds about 1/5 ct in size. One of them contains a chiped top, where I may have struck it against a metal door as I was walking past. Yes I do not baby my rings, i prefer to wear them through thick and thin. I was just worried that maybe the diamonds were not real, although i own a laser diamond measurer, and it said it was, and it came from a trusted seller of jewelry. I just have never seen this happen before. the top 25% is missing a paper thin part of it. Please help, i know practically nothing about diamonds. thanks, Scott-Taiwan

those tungston carbide (sp?) and titanium mens wedding bands? ok, i have heard that the tungston carbide ones have to be cut off if they ever get stuck on a man's finger, so presumably you cant engrave them, right? can you engrave them? what about titanium ones? would they have to be cut off and can you engrave them? my fiance works in a steel mill so obviously his ring will take a beating (no he doesnt wear it while working, but taking it off and throwing it in lockers etc, it gets beaten) so i dont want to get white gold. if tungston and titanium are not able to be engraved, can someone tell me about a knockoff or some other harder metal ring that CAN be engraved? no gold, white gold, silver, or platinum please. thanks! thanks so far! what about a metal thats not AS hard as tungsten or titanium (they sound like a pain to get engraved so far!), and not as soft as gold, but will still look nice and be engraveable?
