Is this diamond solitaire ring a good price?
Is this diamond ring a good price considering the 4 c's? http://www.hsamuel.co.uk/webstore/detail/R/4677862/?Ns=P_Current_Price%7c1 ...also, what's the best possible deal my auntie could find for a diamond solitaire ring?

- I'm not familiar with diamond pricing, but I DO know that there are different levels of diamonds which also affects the price. There are different grades of color and imperfections. Anyways, my point is don't go solely by price... take grade into consideration as well!
- I'm not sure how pounds translate into USD, but it seems a bit steep to me..... Then again, I would never pay that much for one ring..
- Actually, that seems a bit high for a 1 ct. diamond solitaire in 18 kt. gold. It would be a good price for a ring set in platinum, but tell your auntie to go to a diamond wholesaler, where she could get the same style and quality ring for about half the price. Just make sure it's conflict-free!!
- yes a fair deal;
- This is way too marked up. Make sure your diamond is GIA certified or whatever the same is over in Great Britian. My fiance's cousin is a jeweler and he got my 2 carat princess cut VS1 I color stone for $12,000. Granted he got an almost wholesale price, but that should give you an idea of what a good deal is in the diamond industry is. Go to a small store that isn't a chain. They will give you the best deals. Good luck!
- It seems a bit high for a P1 clarity (I'm assuming that's equivalent to S1) and an I colour rating. You should check out bluenile.com to see pricing on diamonds according to their quality (4 c's), they have very honest prices because there is so little overhead.
- Considering that is in pounds I would think it is a very over priced ring. I live in Australia and rings here are much more expensive than in the USA. I would recommend to anyone to buy a ring from the US. There are reputable diamond stores on line where you can purchase quality rings. It is better than being ripped off. I think that ring you are showing would convert to about $8,000 Australian dollars, or even more, which is way too much for a 1 carat ring.
- That is overpriced for the color and clarity of that ring, which means that that ring is about $7500 American, if I am doing my calculations correctly. Plus, that color and clarity aren't very good. Check bluenile.com for better prices.
- A rip off.
- That's $10,000 US/CDN - really, really high for that ring. It IS beautiful, though. http://www.diamond.com/customer/product_detail.jsp?product=200825322 http://www.diamond.com/customer/product_detail.jsp?product=200823082 http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=152748&selAccTab=on
