Developing interest in going into Diamond and jewelry business, how to start?

I have been reading loads on diamonds and other gems, especially Blue Sapphires. I can tell whether the stone are natural or lab create, but still lacking experiences on how to price it. What is your recommendation and how to start? Buying selling, I mean.
