  1. I would say princess because your fingers are bigger and obviously round so I think the princess cut would take away from that!!
  2. I found an article about this on the Diamond Price Guru site. It mentions diamond shapes and other jewelry tips to accentuate different physical traits (plump fingers, boney fingers, double chin, etc.). Here's the bit for plump fingers: "Three diamond shapes can help make fingers appear elongated and more slender: the marquise, the oval, and the pear shapes. It’s important to set the diamonds so that the longer width runs with the finger." I usually go to this site for their diamond search engine (it compares about a dozen different stores' prices for you), but the articles are pretty good, too. Since you were asking about princess cut or round, based on the advice in the article, I think it depends whether you're looking at a square princess or a rectangular princess cut. A rectangular princess cut may add length and slim the finger's appearance. If you're thinking of a square princess cut, I'd suggest the round cut--the rounded edge seems more likely to lengthen the visual appearance than a square princess. I hope this helps.
  3. easy one : round is better in this case, as square shaped outlines are better on long narrow fingers
